I am always delighted to offer beautiful pre-made pieces straight from my imagination, but collaboration is even more rewarding! I'm thrilled when someone reaches out, and we work together on a custom creation just for them.
Let me share a bit about how the custom creation process unfolds. My latest custom project started when a friend admired a pair of earrings I had crafted for my daughter. She loved them and requested some dangly earrings for herself. I asked her for ideas on the themes she preferred, and since it was close to Valentine's Day, which is also near her birthday, she suggested something with teddy bears and hearts.
I inquired about her color preferences, and she needed some time to decide. We paused and revisited the conversation later, where I proposed that since the earrings were for a Valentine's/Birthday theme, Amethyst might be the perfect color palette, as it's her birthstone. She was thrilled with this suggestion, and the creation process began.
I started with silver Teddy Bear open bezel charms accented with rhinestones and used clear UV resin from Let's Resin mixed with Purple laser glitter from Renfio to craft the main charm for the earrings. To avoid making them too heavy with larger charms, I opted for small silver heart spacer beads and a fine silver chain. The results were wonderful, and both my friend and I were very pleased.
I mentioned that my friend contacted me about getting these made because of a pair of earrings I crafted for my daughter. That same week, I also created necklaces for myself, my daughter, and my granddaughter. They all featured the same charms, with slight variations in color to reflect our individual favorite colors, while incorporating all three colors into the set. I primarily made these for my granddaughter to help her feel included, as her mom was expecting a second child, but also to experiment and prepare for working with you!
Creating the necklaces was a much more personal process, as I was selecting elements that represented the three of us as a group. I chose to place small unicorn figurines inside an open heart bezel for the main charm. Additionally, there is a silver rhinestone-accented teddy bear to symbolize the new baby, a Celtic knot matching a tattoo my daughter and I share to express our mother-daughter bond, and a butterfly to signify the beautiful cycle of growth and change we have all experienced together.
I used a rainbow-colored metallic chain and fittings, along with a rainbow of colors in the spacer beads for vibrant pops of color to delight my granddaughter. We were all amazed by the final result. I initially expected the outcome to appear much more juvenile, but ultimately, all three of us were pleased with the results.
